NFL Wide Receiver


Tyrell Williams is an NFL wide receiver for the Los Angeles Chargers.  Born in Oregon, Tyrell attracted the attention of Western Oregon’s football program after starring in three sports at Cascade High School.  After excelling at Western Oregon, Tyrell was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Chargers in 2015. He spent the majority of his rookie season developing his craft on the practice squad.  In the final game of year, Tyrell made his first catch - an 80-yard touchdown against the Broncos.

Entering the 2016 season, Tyrell was the 5th receiver on the Chargers depth chart.  After a couple injuries to his teammates Tyrell again made the most of his opportunities and quickly became one of Philip Rivers most trusted targets. He finished the 2016 season as the Chargers’ leader in receptions, receiving yards, targets, and touchdowns.

Boys & Girls Club

Tyrell has a help for helping kids and works with the Boys and Girls Club in and around the San Diego area. Tyrell has partnered with MORE Than Sport in providing 50 new bikes for kids at the Boys & Girls Club of Oceanside.  

The Boys & Girls Club aims to inspire, develop, and enrich young people to reach their fullest potential as confident, responsible, and caring members of society. For over 60 years the Club has worked to get Oceanside kids, primarily from low-income families, off the streets and out of trouble by engaging them with academics and activities. They serve 1,100 youth daily, providing stimulating and quality Science, Technology, Research, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STREAM) activities.
